Why did I choose my major?

 I study architecture and why is confusing. 

My dream since I was little is to be a fashion designer, I' ve wanted to be many things, but it' s always the last answer. 

When I left school I wanted to study astronomy in Concepción, but my parents didn't like it because it was too far from Calama and an unconventional career, so they encouraged me to enter engineering in Santiago, in that they offered me a scholarship and I entered the UDD. The worst experience of my short and almost null university life:( the environment was very dense and I dont share the way of thinking of the majority, besides feeling judged by how I dress or the color of my hair. I was there for a year, but it wasn't for me...

I went back to thinking about costume design, but for that I have to go abroad because in chile art is undervalued, so I decided on architecture because I like it and it' s an approach to design to then introduce me to the world of fashion. 

Finally since I entered the FAU, I haven't taken a step inside the campus and I really miss engineering math:(

My favorite website in my area is "plataforma arquitectura". https://www.plataformaarquitectura.cl/cl It is my favorite because it is one of the places with more projects, it also includes a lot of information about them and the information is reliable, this is important because much of what is on the internet is false. It is useful to me because I can get references, look for inspiration or just study a little more. As a site in itself I don't know it in detail but whenever I google the project or the architect, the first link that appears is this page. It includes photos, plans, writings, etc.  I visit it at least once a week. Another website that I like a lot but it is not so related to my specialty is "pinterest" https://www.pinterest.cl/ I also include it for my training because there are very interesting images to see and use as references. I use this App regularly and I can spend hours and hours.

My Favorite Piece of Technology

My favorite electronic device is the Tablet, it is super versatile and allows you to do many activities on it. It is my favorite because it is small and very portable, it has different functions and allows me to have connectivity most of the time. Now in this online mode it has been a great help, because I use it as a substitute for the notebook, also when I have to use the computer, I connect from the iPad to classes and leave the computer unoccupied to work. The truth is that on a daily basis it does not affect my life, since it is bigger than a cell phone so it doesn´t have the supremacy, but it is a very good technological tool. If I recommend it, first of all, you must define what you will use it for, maybe you should look for the one that best meets your needs, that the operating system is compatible with your other devices, etc. And finally buy it and start enjoying it.

Postgraduates Studies

  In my family we have always been talking about the post degree, my older sister has almost finished her degree, so she is already looking for possibilities to continue studying.... My father only needs the accreditation of the post degree, since it was given in Australia and he could not travel. As for me, I am not thinking so much in a post degree but rather in a second career or a secondary study, since in my plans I am not planning to work as an architect. A postgraduate degree is a complementary and specific study of an area of interest, many people prefer to do it already practicing, because they are quite expensive, however those who are given the opportunity prefer to continue studying, immediately after graduating. It is a plus that is given to you as a professional person and opens up many new opportunities.
