Who Am I

 

Hi, I am Katina Zaro or Kaki, I am a Scorpio, I am also a daughter, I am a friend and companion of people. I love to change my hair color which characterizes me a lot.

I was born in Calama by chance and we stayed here, at 18 years old I went to study in Santiago so I live there, however, by COVID I am in Calama with my family.

I started my studies in engineering at a private university UDD, but it was not my environment or what I wanted to do for the rest of my life, now I am in architecture, happy, to have a base in design and then specialize in fashion which is my dream since I was 8 years old.

My family consists of dad, mom, sister, 2 cats and a dog and me, last year our oldest pet Pumpie passed away, at 13 years old, 68 in humans.

Calama is not interesting at all, many people do not know it and only have the reference of Chuquicamata or San Pedro de Atacama, but for me it is great, I take advantage of the Rio Loa, other corners that you can only know and appreciate living 18 years of your life in this desert city.

    I love your hair, I saw in instagram and yes, is your personal characteristic.
    And I have friends scorpio, and is nice relation with them (I am cancer) and they have a big personality.

    Some time ago I went to Calama to visit my uncle who lives there. I had a great time, because from there we were able to visit several places:)

My favorite website in my area is "plataforma arquitectura". https://www.plataformaarquitectura.cl/cl It is my favorite because it is one of the places with more projects, it also includes a lot of information about them and the information is reliable, this is important because much of what is on the internet is false. It is useful to me because I can get references, look for inspiration or just study a little more. As a site in itself I don't know it in detail but whenever I google the project or the architect, the first link that appears is this page. It includes photos, plans, writings, etc.  I visit it at least once a week. Another website that I like a lot but it is not so related to my specialty is "pinterest" https://www.pinterest.cl/ I also include it for my training because there are very interesting images to see and use as references. I use this App regularly and I can spend hours and hours.

My Favorite Piece of Technology

My favorite electronic device is the Tablet, it is super versatile and allows you to do many activities on it. It is my favorite because it is small and very portable, it has different functions and allows me to have connectivity most of the time. Now in this online mode it has been a great help, because I use it as a substitute for the notebook, also when I have to use the computer, I connect from the iPad to classes and leave the computer unoccupied to work. The truth is that on a daily basis it does not affect my life, since it is bigger than a cell phone so it doesn´t have the supremacy, but it is a very good technological tool. If I recommend it, first of all, you must define what you will use it for, maybe you should look for the one that best meets your needs, that the operating system is compatible with your other devices, etc. And finally buy it and start enjoying it.

Postgraduates Studies

  In my family we have always been talking about the post degree, my older sister has almost finished her degree, so she is already looking for possibilities to continue studying.... My father only needs the accreditation of the post degree, since it was given in Australia and he could not travel. As for me, I am not thinking so much in a post degree but rather in a second career or a secondary study, since in my plans I am not planning to work as an architect. A postgraduate degree is a complementary and specific study of an area of interest, many people prefer to do it already practicing, because they are quite expensive, however those who are given the opportunity prefer to continue studying, immediately after graduating. It is a plus that is given to you as a professional person and opens up many new opportunities.
